Stephany's Sensational          Strawberry Smoothie

Here is a recipe I love having for a light breakfast prior to a cardio workout or as an afternoon snack. The strawberries are a great source of antioxidants, the banana is a great way to balance your body's electrolytes, and add fiber. I love using dairy free milks, such as almond milk for added protein & calcium and less impact on your digestive tract. Finally, walnuts provide healthy fats that contain an adequate ratio of omega 3 and omega 6, for a healthy heart and increased brain function.

Serving Size: 1

Ingredients:

1 cup Fresh or Frozen Strawberries

1 Banana

1 & 1/2 cup Nut OR Plant Based Milk (unsweetened) 

1/8 cup walnuts or 2 tbsp flaxseed

1/2 cup crushed ice (optional)

Stevia or Agave to taste (optional)

Directions:

Blend it up & enjoy this nutritious smoothie!
